OUT of the Forest I wandered
To lands that were far away,
Seeking the riches of nations,
No man disputing my sway.
But my heart was heavy with longing,
Weary my soul with the fray.
What did I think of, my Brothers?
I thought of the Forest all day.
The Moon that shines on my Forest
Caressed me with hopes at night.
The Stars that I loved in my childhood
Soothed me with promises bright.
And the night wind sang in the shadows
A lullaby soft and light.
What did I dream of, my Brothers?
I dreamt of the Forest all night.
